What to do in the first 10 minutes of a roof leak

While you wait for us, a few quick steps limit the damage and can save you thousands:

• Protect what's below. Move inventory, equipment and electronics out from under the leak, or cover them with tarps.
• Contain the water. Buckets and bins under active drips; towels to slow spreading. It keeps the water off floors and out of walls.
• Relieve a bulging ceiling. If a ceiling tile or drywall is sagging and holding water, carefully pierce a small hole over a bucket to drain it — a controlled release beats a sudden collapse.
• Kill power to the affected area if water is anywhere near electrical panels, fixtures or outlets.
• Photograph everything — the roof if it's safe to look, the interior, and the damaged goods. It matters for your insurance claim.
• Do not climb onto a wet or storm-damaged roof. Leave that to us — a fall is a far bigger emergency than a leak.

Do you really answer at night and on weekends?

Yes — roof emergencies don't keep business hours, and neither does our emergency line. Active leaks, storm damage and snow-load failures get a response any day, any time.

Will an emergency call cost more than a scheduled repair?

An after-hours emergency response is priced for exactly that — but stabilizing a leak fast is almost always far cheaper than the interior, inventory and mould damage of letting it run. We're upfront about it, and once you're stable we quote the permanent fix in writing.

Is a temporary fix enough?

The emergency stabilization stops the immediate damage; it's not a permanent roof. We'll show you what failed and whether a lasting repair or a replacement is the right call.
